Research Focus

I am a Professor and Coordinator of the Networking courses in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) of the College of Engineering and Computing. I am also the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies, and Director of the Virtual Academy and Cisco Academy at George Mason University (GMU). My 25 years of work experience have been in Information Technology and Telecommunications, National Aeronautics and Space Administration and Department of Homeland Security government agencies, as well as academia at GMU, University of Maryland at College Park and American University. I am a subject matter expert of cyber security and networking with Prometric. I have reviewed technical book chapters for Prentice Hall, McGraw-Hill, John Wiley & Sons, and Addison-Wesley, and have published several peer-reviewed articles. I received my Ph.D. and B.S. from George Mason University, and M.S. from American University.
