GMU VA STAR

George Mason University participates with the Virginia Student Training and Refurbishment Program (VA STAR), a statewide program that teaches students to refurbish surplus computer hardware. This equipment is then donated to families, organizations, and school districts in need. GMU VA STAR students gain hands-on experience while giving back to the Northern Virginia community and keeping usable tech gear from ending up in a landfill.
